The Golden Jaguars hopes of qualifying from Group B in the CONCACAF U20 Qualifiers for the championship segment were extinguished, as they suffered a crushing 1-4 loss to Suriname yesterday at the Antigua and Barbuda Training Centre.
Fresh off their 2-2 draw with El Salvador at the same venue on Sunday, Guyana’s starting XI comprised Emmanuel Lewis, Tyler Lyle, Gerry Burnette, Tyrel Stephen, Kymani Sealey, Ezekiel Rowland, Solomon Austin, Matrim Martin, Rodensio Tudor, Kyle Reid, and Nathaniel Pydana.
The statistics are indicative of Surinamese dominance, as they outshot Guyana 22-5. They also registered nine corner kicks, compared to Guyana’s one.
