Potaro Strikers defeated the Uprising of Leguan 1-0 in an intra-association pre-season encounter on Saturday evening at the Bartica Community Centre ground.
Scoreless at the end of the first half, Kevin Reddy separated the two teams, as he recorded the only conversion in the 60th minute. Uprising competes in the West Demerara Football Association.
In the earlier fixture, Rising Stars dismissed Rivers View 4-2. Ian Gomes bagged a hat-trick, while Ashton Dutchin scored once. On target for the loser with a brace was Andrew Simmons.
