Lushawn Jevon Crawford, a 22-year-old unemployed resident of Haslington South, East Coast Deme-rara, was arrested and charged on Monday with two counts of armed robbery.
The police said that Crawford is accused of armed robbery on We Zu Chen and Shantie Mohan, which occurred on 2024-02-22 at Enmore, East Coast Demerara.
On 2024-02-26, at about 11:00hrs, the accused appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore, where both charges were read to him. He pleaded not guilty, bail was refused and he was remanded to prison.
The matters were transferred to the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court for 2024-03-26.
