Ian Griffith appeared on Wednesday before Magistrate Zamilla Ally-Seepaul at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court where he was sentenced to three years and one month imprisonment and fined $3,495,000 for trafficking cocaine.
Griffith was found guilty of the offence of trafficking in 2.330 kgs of cocaine, the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit said yesterday.
On March 3rd 2022, Griffith was arrested and subsequently charged after being found with the cocaine during an operation conducted on the East Bank Essequibo.
