On his Facebook page Trinidadian Foreign Minister Amery Browne has lauded the kindness of a Guyanese airport employee who helped him out when he was unable to pay for breakfast at CJIA as all he had was his credit card and no Guyanese cash.
His post on his Facebook page follows:
“There are angels all around us.
On duty travel this week, I had an early-morning flight out of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Guyana. I approached a security guard, chatted a little bit, and asked her for a breakfast recommendation. She personally took me across the road to a little cafeteria…I thanked her and ordered … some breakfast items for myself and some of the support staff. Lo and behold when it was time to pay the cashier (they said they) do not take credit cards or anything other than cash in the local currency.
