Three new Regional Executive Officers (REOs) have been appointed to Regions One, Three, and Five by the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development. The appointments took effect from last Friday.
According to a press release sent out by the ministry, Sewchand (only name) is the new REO for Region One, while Dwayne Adams has been appointed to Region Five. Meanwhile, Devanand Ramdatt, who was formerly the Chairman at the Regional Democratic Council in Region Two, will now head Region Three as REO.
The Ministry, in the press release, expressed its congratulations to the new appointees and expressed optimism in their ability to work in the best interest of the people of Guyana. The Ministry looks forward to collaborating with the new REOs to ensure the continued development and success of their respective regions, the release said.
