Miner, Junior Williams, 28, was on Monday jailed for two years for the armed robbery of Bounty Hall businessman, Ramkumar called Prince, 64.
According to the police, the robbery occurred at Charity Back Street, Essequibo Coast.
On Monday, the case was heard at the Charity Magistrate’s Court, before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke, where the charge was read to the accused and he was not required to plead to the charge.
The prosecutor then applied the administration of justice act and the defendant pleaded guilty to the charge, and he was sentenced to two years imprisonment.
