Guyana Harpy Eagles, led by a four-wicket blitz from pacer Isai Thorne, as well as half centuries from Captain Tevin Imlach and Tagenarine Chanderpaul, led the Windward Islands Volcanoes by 363 runs at the end of day two at the Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua and Barbuda.
Thorne, who was aided by a three-wicket haul [3-30] from Ronaldo Alimohamed, set the tone for Guyana’s dominance as he engineered the Volcanoes batting collapse, skittling the tournament leaders for a paltry 113 in reply to Guyana’s first-inning total of 308.
Tevyn Walcott and Darel Cyrus recorded the only scores of note with 41 and 23 runs apiece, as Thorne ended with figures of 4-38 in 11 overs.
