Dear Editor,
Guyana’s profile as a significant player on the international stage is being further enhanced with the visits of two former world leaders, Tony Blair of Great Britain and Bill Clinton of the United States. Both men were accomplished leaders and statesmen in their own right. Blair was one of the longest serving Prime Minister of Britain in recent history and was famous for the role he played in support of the United States invasion of Iraq in March 2003. Bill Clinton was known for his role in getting two arch-enemies in 1993, PLO leader Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin, to shake hands following the signing of the Oslo Accords at the White House.
Sincerely,
Hydar Ally
