The third leg of the Jagans Memorial Cycling Road Race which was slated to pedal off on Sunday (March 31) on the Essequibo Coast has been postponed.
According to the organisers, the Flying Ace Cycle Cub, the postponement of the final stage of the race is due to the sponsors of the event having other commitments on the same date.
“We are sorry to announce that the third stage of the Cheddi Jagan Memorial cycle road race which was scheduled to be on 31 March 2024 at Essequibo has been postponed. The sponsors of the event have indicated that, due to date clashes with another major activity, it has become necessary to host the event /race on a later date” a statement from the organisers read.
