The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) tonight reported more problems in its network amid public expressions of disgust.
GPL issued the following statement:
Earlier this evening two of our power plants went down at Kingston. When we attempted to commence with restoration we experienced a trip to our Garden of Eden Power Plant.
Please be advised that our team is investigating the reason for the trip and working diligently to rectify the fault and restore power.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
