Spankhurst continued its dominance on the local horse racing circuit as it sped to an impressive win yesterday at the Port Mourant Turf Club Easter Cup.
Piloted by Colin Ross, Spankhurst stormed to the first place prize of $2,000,000 unchallenged, relegating Stolen Money, Jessica’s Pride, and Cremore to second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
In the G&L Lower and West Indies, the first-time starter, American Traveler, who had initially prevailed over Soca Harmony, was disqualified by the stewards for interference on the first turn. Thus, Soca Harmony was adjudged the winner, while Coup D’état and She Will Be on Time ended in second and third place, respectively.
