With approximately two months before the commencement of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, a team of officials from the organising committee conducted an inspection exercise on Wednesday of the four venues that will be utilised in Guyana.
The inspection process was led by Tournament Director Fawwaz Baksh and encompassed the assessment of the official match facility as well as warm-up and practice venues for the June showpiece.
In chronological order, the venues assessed were the Everest Cricket Club on Camp Road and Carifesta Avenue, the Police Sports Club, Eve Leary, the Georgetown Cricket Club, Bourda, and the National Stadium in Providence.
Guyana will host the second semi-final as well as give group stage encounters in the 20-team competition, which will feature a total of 55 matches and be co-hosted between the West Indies and the United States of America.
