Club 45 and Linden will contest the final of the Santos 60th Anniversary Masters Football Championship tonight, following semi-final wins on Wednesday evening at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
In the feature semi-final, Linden Masters downed Santos 2-0. Tony ‘Spirit’ Adams opened the scoring in the 35th minute with a strike from the top of the 18-yard box into the right corner. Andrew Barker then sealed the result in the 48th minute via a strike from the left side of the box, which settled into the lower left corner.
Meanwhile, in the first semi-final, Club 45 defeated Pele Masters 1-0. Quincy McDonald found the back of the net in the 19th minute.
The losing semi-finalists will compete in the third-place playoff at 18:30hrs. The other competing teams were the Guyana Defence Force, Pele, West Side Masters, and Beacons.
