Thirty-year-old Joel Benjamin of Queenstown, Essequibo Coast, was on Thursday charged with attempted murder when he appeared before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke at the Suddie Magistrate’s court.
The police in a release said that Benjamin attempted to murder Jonathan Singh on Tuesday April 2 at Queenstown, Essequibo Coast.
During his court appearance the prosecutor objected to bail, resulting in the accused being remanded to prison. The case has been adjourned to April 25, 2024.
