A 25-year-old miner was on Friday charged and sentenced for assaulting three police ranks and resisting arrest.
Alex Benjamin of Lot 427 Onder-neeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast, appeared at the Suddie Magistrates Court, before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke to answer to the charges which read that on April 1, he assaulted ranks from the Aurora Police Station and the Richard Faikal Academy.
The defendant pleaded guilty to all charges was sentenced to three (3) months imprisonment for each offence.
