The University of Guyana has announced that it has graduated its first ever batch of food scientists and looks forward to their contribution in both local and regional efforts to attain food security.
The UG release on Tuesday quoted Head of the University of Guyana’s Department of Che-mistry, Dr Dawn Fox who expressed the institution’s pride in these Food Science pioneers.
“We are inordinately proud of this pioneering batch of Food Scientists. They represent the culmination of years of planning with the vision of Guyana becoming a major food security player for the region by transforming the food manufacturing and food product development sectors.”
