Amazon Warriors to commence CPL campaign on August 28th

The Guyana Amazon Warriors will commence the defence of its Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title on August 30th against hosts and newly minted franchise, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.

This was confirmed following the official publication of the 2024 tournament fixtures for the 12th edition of the event, which will be staged from August 28th to October 6th. The competition will commence with the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons opposing the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

For the first time since the 2029 iteration, six host countries will be used in the event. They are: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, St. Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Trinidad & Tobago.

In total, there will be 34 matches, with each side playing 10 fixtures during an initial group stage. The elimination segment will be hosted in Guyana, inclusive of the final. The Amazon Warriors will open their home campaign against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on September 20th.

Their other home fixtures will be against the Falcons [September 21st], the Barbados Royals (September 25th), the St. Lucia Kings (September 28th), and the Trinbago Knight Riders (September 29th). The official play draft is set to be announced shortly by the organisers.
