Tevin Imlach drives through the point region for a boundary

Tevin Imlach recorded an unbeaten 101 while Veerasammy Permaul snared a five-wicket haul as Guyana tightened their grip against the Jamaica Scorpions at the end of day two of the Cricket West Indies 4-Day Championship at Sabina Park.

Imlach, who had retired hurt early in his innings on the opening day, recorded his second consecutive first-class century, alongside the magnificent 155 by Kemol Savory, who had rescued the team from dire straits on day one, as Guyana amassed 424 against the hosts.

Permaul then made his presence felt in the encounter as he recorded 5-55 from 21 overs to leave the Jamaican innings in a tailspin at 153/9. Emerging fast-bowler Isai Thorne recorded 2-15, while Ronaldo Alimohamed and Gudakesh Motie tallied 1-19 and 1-46, respectively.
