From last Thursday “Twelfth Night” by William Shakespeare opened for a series of shows for schools at the National Culture Centre.
According to a press release from GEMS Theatre Productions, the staging of the production is being done in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. It is being sponsored by the ministry to assist students studying for CSEC.
The play will run until Wednesday 17th April at 1 pm for students, except for Saturday 13th when it will start at 12.30pm, and for the general public at 7 pm, it added.
The release said that All performances for students and the public are free; the play is directed by Ron Robinson, assisted by Derek Gomes.
Leading players are Nuriyyih Gerrard, Mark Luke-Edwards, Michael Ignatius, Derek Gomes, Paul Budnah, Latiefa Agard, Rovindra Persaud, Tahirrih Gerrard with support from Safira Abrahim-Williams, D’Neilko Bacchus, Keeona McKay, Kevin Kellman and newcomers Tchaiko Henry, Antoine Gonsalves, the release said.
