A party of police during an intelligence led operation at various locations in Regional Division # 6, found 43.57 pounds of cannabis in an abandoned yard.
On Saturday, between 8:15 pm and 9:00 pm, a party of police led by an assistant superintendent carried out intelligence led operations at various locations in Regional Division #6. Several locations and a motor vehicle were searched, a police press release stated.
According to the police, in an abandoned yard next to one of the premises searched, police found a light brown salt bag hidden under several dry coconut tree branches with 39 parcels, each containing cannabis. When weighed, it amounted to 43.57 pounds with an estimated street value of $17,786,703.00.
Police took possession of the items, which were weighed, tagged, and marked.
Investigations are ongoing.
