Two juveniles were arrested after they along with others allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl of Port Kaituma, North West District, Region One.
A forensic interview will be conducted to assist with police investigations.
Regional Commander Himnauth Sawh told Stabroek News yesterday that the matter was under investigation.
He said that the two juveniles were placed in police custody under the supervision of their guardian, while the 15-year-old victim, along with her parent, was sent to Georgetown to be interviewed by the Child Care Protection Agency.
Based on the results of the forensic interview, he said, police will be able to ascertain the charges against the juveniles.
