The Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF) has begun building capacity amongst beneficiaries of the Womwn and Vulnerable Groups Empowerment sub-project in Region # 2.
It partnered with the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce through the Guyana Tourism Authority, to provide training to 18 women of the Mashabo Village Region # 2 in the areas of marketing and digital marketing on April 11-12, 2024.
This is the first of a series of training initiatives that will complement the construction of the Eco-restaurant currently underway, by providing beneficiaries with the skills required to create an environment for a sustainable business, a release from the BNTF said.
Some areas covered in the training include:
• Types of marketing & evolution of marketing from traditional or offline marketing to digital marketing
• Understanding the basic marketing concepts
• Marketing Mix
• Promoting your product
• Introduction to Digital Marketing
