Defending champion and unbeaten outfit, the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), climbed atop the KFC Elite League standings, defeating Anns Grove 3-0 on Saturday evening at the National Training Centre, Providence.
The eventual outcome was sealed following three unanswered goals in the second period following a scoreless first half.
Obumchi Benjamin broke the deadlock as he etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 59th minute. He then doubled his side’s lead via a conversion in the 74th minute. The contest was then sealed in the 87th minute as Amos Ramsay found the back of the net. The event continues tomorrow at the same venue with another round of matches.
