On Sunday 21st April 2024, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) Officers conducted an operation on High Street, Georgetown, where they intercepted a motor car. A subsequent search of the motor vehicle revealed several bulky parcels containing a quantity of suspected cannabis.
Eusi Wilson, age 53 years old., who is a taxi driver of 50 Edinburgh, East Bank Berbice was escorted to CANU’s Headquarters along with the suspected narcotics, which tested positive for cannabis and weighed 22 Kilograms, a release from CANU said.
Investigations are ongoing.
