(Trinidad Guardian) A 32-year-old man from Enterprise, Chaguanas, was killed on Saturday night, along with his girlfriend.
The victims were identified as Jerrymire Gibbons, a labourer of Lp 56 Badese Street, Enterprise, and Roxanne Heera, 40, a URP labourer of #36 Gail Trace, Palmiste.
A police report stated that at about 9.55 pm, Gibbons and Heera were standing outside Gibbons’ house when a gunman walked up to them and opened fire.
Police recovered ten spent 9mm shell casings, two projectiles and one live 9mm ammunition on the scene.
A motive is yet to be determined.
During a visit to the area on Sunday, Gibbons’ brother, Andy Clarke, 23, told Guardian Media that his brother, a father of two, was “cool”.
He added that his mother was currently hospitalised and said it was due to a domestic squabble she had with a man she knows.
Gibbons’ father did not make any comments on his son’s murder but said that he and his girlfriend had been together for the past four months.
Police are yet to determine a motive for the killings.
