Ray Anthony Persaud, a 28-year-old businessman of Lot 14, 4th Avenue, Bartica, Essequibo River was charged yesterday with the unlawful possession of a firearm without a licence and unlawful possession of ammunition without a licence.
He appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Teriq Mohamed where the charges were read to him, and he pleaded not guilty to both charges.
He was remanded to prison, and the matter adjourned to May 14, 2024.
