The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) blanked the Classic Ball Blasters 3-0 when the Demerara Volleyball Association’s (DVA) Senior Men’s League continued yesterday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
The tone of the contest was established when the first-set army unit won 25-16. While CBB improved in the second set, they lost 21-25 to further strengthen GDF’s position. The result was then sealed as GDF prevailed in the third set, 25-23.
On Monday at the same venue, Alphas defeated Venguy 3-0. Alpha commenced their dominance with a 25-15 win in the first set. They then doubled their lead in the second stanza, as they prevailed 25-18. Although Venguy improved in the third set, Alpha secured the result via a 28-26 outcome.
