Wismar/Christianburg and Mackenzie High will contest the final of the ExxonMobil Linden Schools Football Championship on Friday following semifinal wins yesterday at the Wisburg Secondary Ground.
In the first semifinal fixture, tournament favourite Mackenzie High edged Linden Foundation by a 2-1 score. Mandela McRae and Keoma Lowe scored in the ninth and 51st minutes, respectively. On target in the loss was Trayon Guillerme in the 56th minute.
On the other hand, Wismar/Christianburg defeated Kwakwani 3-1 on penalty kicks after regulation ended 1-1. The resultant losers will compete in the third-place playoff.
