Mahaica Determinators, Pele, and Airy Hall secured contrasting wins when the East Coast Sweet 16 Football Championship continued on Wednesday evening at the Buxton Community Centre ground.
Mahaica crushed Melanie 4-1. The trio of Shemol McPherson, Kevin Sherwood, and Samuel Van Dijk found the back of the net in the 28th, 33rd, and 55th minutes, respectively. Adding to the score was my own goal. Similarly, Pele downed Black Pearl 3-1. Joshua Bentick bagged a brace in the 76th and 80th minutes, while his own goal added to the score. For the loser, an own goal was also recorded.
On the other side, Collis Wiltshire etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 80th minute. On the other hand, Airy Hall defeated the Victoria Kings 1-0. Eion Abel found the back of the net in the 81st minute.
