King and Queen Beach Football
Platinum and MS Ballers secured their berths to the semifinal segment when the King and Queen Beach Football Championship continued on Wednesday evening at the PPP office compound in Mackenzie, Linden.
Platinum dismissed Universal 2-0 in their quarterfinal fixture. Tyrese Lewis recorded a double in the eighth and 14th minutes. Meanwhile, the MS Ballers edged the Pro Ballers 1-0 on penalty kicks after regulation ended scoreless. Jude Bouyea recorded the only conversion during the penalty shootout.
The event continues on Monday at the same venue. In the women’s segment, Aroaima will oppose Hururu at 18:30hrs, while Speightland will battle Rockstone at 19:20hrs. In the men’s section, MS Ballers will oppose Hi-Flyers at 20:10hrs, while Platinum takes aim at Young Gunners at 21:10hrs.
