-captains promise quality football
Ahead of today’s Milo Schools U-18 Football Tournament final, the captains and coaches of the finalists, Waramuri Primary Top and Chase’s Academic Foundation, met for a face-off yesterday at the Spice Garden Restaurant, Brandsville Hotel, Pike Street.
Chase’s Academic Foundation skipper Bryan Wharton, who has been prolific in front of goal, was full of praise for the tournament and the opportunity it gives young footballers to express their talent. He voiced confidence in his team ahead of today’s final but pointed out that his side is wary of the challenge that Waramuri presents.
His opposite number, Odel Homes, also echoed similar sentiments about his team’s capabilities, and promised to put on a final full of quality football for fans to enjoy.
