LUCAS STOCK INDEX (LSI)
The Lucas Stock Index fell 0.538 percent on the sale of 51,989 shares during the fourth period of trading in April 2024. Seven stocks were traded this week and the activities produced one Climber and four Tumblers, resulting in the index losing over G$4B in value.
The stock price of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) rose 3.571 percent on the sale of 116 shares.
In contrast, the stock price of Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) fell 1.911 percent on the sale of 81 shares while the stock price of Banks DIH (DIH) fell 1.481 percent on the sale of 39,922 shares. In addition, the stock price of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) fell 1.442 percent on the sale of 10,120 shares while the stock price of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) fell 0.788 percent on the sale of 56 shares.
In the meanwhile, the stock prices of Caribbean Container Inc (CCI) and Sterling Products Limited (SPL) remained unchanged on the sale of 239 and 1,455 shares respectively.
The LSI closed at 1,380.125.
