Guyana register several losses in singles competition
Guyana failed to pass the round of 16 segment in the respective singles competition in the Caribbean Junior Table Tennis Championship in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In the Boy’s U-19 section, Krystian Sahadeo lost to Jerall Montijo of Puerto Rico 5-11, 7-11, 5-11, and 5-11 in their round of 16 meeting. Sahadeo, in his earlier match, defeated Estrella Wilber of the Dominican Republic 11-3, 11-7, 7-11, 11-6, and 11-8 in the round of 32. Similarly, Thuria Thomas lost to Kristal Melendez of Puerto Rico 7-11, 5-11, 2-11, and 4-11 at the round of 16 stage of the Girl’s U-19 pool.
Colin Wong lost to Diomar Arguelle of Cuba 2-11, 3-11, 4-11, and 5-11 in the round of 32 section in the Boy’s U-19 category. Also, Malachi Moore fell at the round of 32 stage as he lost to Jairo Roble of the Dominican Republic 11-7, 10-12, 8-11, and 7-11 in the Boy’s U-15 division.
