Technician charged with murdering man in East Ruimveldt

A 32-year-old technician, who alleged stabbed a man to death after referring to him as gay, was yesterday remanded to prison by acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus on the indictable charge of murder.

Rolot Rowley of Lot 258 West Ruimveldt Housing Scheme allegedly on April 24 2024 at Lot 264 Vlissengen Road, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, murdered Sean George, 52, a resident of West Ruimveldt, Georgetown. He was not required to plead to the indictable offence.

According to Police Prosecutor Quincy Lacon, on the day in question about 17:00 hours, George, was at Vlissengen Square when the murder accused, who was passing on his motorcycle shouted at George calling him gay.
