Michael Calvan, 32, of Phase 2 East Ruimveldt, was arrested and charged on 2024-04-30 by the Police with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
The police said in a release yesterday that Calvan appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court No. 1 before Chief Magistrate, Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison.
This matter was adjourned to May 17, 2024.
On April 26, 2024, the Police in Regional Division #4’A’ conducted a cordon and search exercise in the East La Penitence Squatting area. A search was conducted on the defendant’s premises and the narcotics found. He was told of the offence, cautioned and arrested, the police said.
