(iii) A high level of understanding of relevant principles of law and jurisprudence.
The ad said that it is desirable that applicants have a common law background and knowledge and experience in both criminal and civil practice and procedure.
Applicants are also expected to have a high level of personal integrity, impartiality and the generally accepted attributes of a judge.
Interested persons can visit the Supreme Court of Judicature website for further details.
Applications have to be submitted no later than June 11th.
The JSC recently appointed new magistrates and is in the process of appointing new judges of the High Court. Appointments to the Court of Appeal will then ensure an adequate complement across the judiciary.
