Dear Editor,
I write to note that Guyana has descended to a new low in its gutter politics. Imagine Vice President Jagdeo berating Afro-Guyanese leaders for not encouraging Afro-Guyanese to make use of the opportunities that are presently available, when his Government closed down the Night Schools in Sophia and Kildonan. The Government has consciously, and I dare say vindictively, denied the youths of those communities a second opportunity at CSEC, but now tells the nation that he and his Government has the African-Guyanese interest at heart, more than anyone else.
Yours faithfully,
Vincent Alexander
