Enhanced coordination needed to achieve Sustainable Development Goals

-Teixeira tells Joint Steering Committee

The Government of Guyana in its efforts to achieve the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 has called for enhanced cooperation.

According to a Department of Public Information (DPI) release, this statement formed part of Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance, Gail Teixeira’s remarks at the annual meeting of the Government of Guyana and the United Nations Joint Steering Committee, held at the Herdmanston Lodge, Georgetown, on Monday.

In her opening remarks,  Teixeira, who co-chaired the meeting, emphasised the need for increased collaboration in achieving the 17  SDGs.
