Govt prioritising road works in Region Nine

Government has earmarked $1.1 billion to rehabilitate key thoroughfares in Region Nine, a Department of Public Information (DPI) release stated yesterday. 

Listed among the investments is the upgrading of Beverly Hills Drive in Lethem. The contract was awarded to D&R Construction and Machinery Rental to the tune of $150.1 million. The asphalt road project spanning 1,300 metres has made significant progress as the road priming works are complete. The asphalt application process is underway, the release noted.
