The Linden leg of the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ street-style football kicks off tonight at the Amelia’s Ward/Wisroc Car Park tarmac from 7 pm with three-time defending champion Swag Entertainment facing ABG.

With the Georgetown zone done and dusted, the Linden edition is expected to produce fireworks. Following the opening encounter, Coomacka will clash with Fearless at 7:40 pm followed by Hi-Flyers taking on the Spaniards at 8:20 pm.

Excuse the Rush will square off against Tidal Wave in the fourth fixture at 9 pm while the final two matches of the opening night will see Hardball take on Universal Ballers at 9:40 pm and the Super Strikers take aim at the Young Gunners 10:20 pm.

After tonight’s matches, the championship will continue on May 17 at the Silver City Hard Court with another round of pulsating matches.

On that night, V-Side and High Rollers will collide in the opening match while the BB Ballers and Turf President will follow.

The third encounter on the night will bring together Top Strikers and Double 6 while One Side will face DC Ballers.

Amoria will then look to get the better of the Silver Bullets while YMCA will close the night against the Assassa Ballers.

The winner of this year’s Linden tournament will pocket $500,000 and the championship trophy while earning an automatic spot in the national championship, which is slated for August in Georgetown.

On the other hand, the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will earn $400,000, $300,000, and $250,000 apiece respectively and other accolades. While the tournament is sponsored by Guinness, it is also supported by Colours Boutique, who have provided the playing kits for the season.
