NRF balance US$2.357B at the end of March 

Senior Minister in the Office of the President with Responsibility for Finance and the Public Service Dr Ashni Singh has presented Notification of Receipts to the National Assembly of all petroleum revenues paid into the Natural Resource Fund (NRF) during the period 1st January 2024 to 28th March 2024, pursuant to Section 33 (2) of the NRF Act 2021.

CARICOM, US discuss measures to tackle illicit firearms trade

As part of efforts to reduce the high rates of crime and violence which are fuelled by illicit firearms trafficking, the Caribbean Community Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (CARICOM IMPACS) recently hosted a meeting at its headquarters in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, where the matter was discussed at length, an IMPACS release stated recently.

Afghanistan floods devastate villages, killing 315

NAHRIN, Afghanistan (Reuters) – Flash floods caused by heavy rains have devastated villages in northern Afghanistan, killing 315 people and injuring more than 1,600, authorities said on Sunday, as villagers buried their dead and aid agencies warned of widening havoc.
