-Blanhum says matter under probe
The Guyana Police Force yesterday confirmed that a sexual assault complaint has been made against former Government minister Nigel Dharamlall at the Cove & John Police Station and that Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum has noted that the allegations are “serious” and are under investigation.
“Relative to questions from the media regarding the sexual assault allegations against former minister Nigel Dharamlall, Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum has indicated that a formal report was made by the (complainant) to Police at the Cove and John Police Station. He noted that the allegations are serious and the matter is under active investigation,” the statement said yesterday.
Asked whether Dharamlall had been questioned it was stated that the investigation is active and “all parties will be contacted”.
