Contracts signed for seven police stations

Ministry of Home Affairs Permanent Secretary Andre Ally on Monday signed off on nine capital contracts for the Guyana Police Force worth a total of $963,829,709, representing a “significant” step forward in enhancing safety and security across Guyana, by bolstering the capabilities of the Guyana Police Force.

 

The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Home Affairs, Robeson Benn, along with a team of engineers from the projects department.

 

According to the release, the contracts encompass a range of projects aimed at modernising police stations and improving operational efficiency. These include: 1) the reconstruction of the Orealla Police Station in Region Six. The contract amount is $109,860,082 and the contractor is 4S Security & Building Enterprise.

2) Infrastructural works at Den Amstel Police Station in Region Three. The contract amount is $88,942,350 and the contractor is M&D Investments.

3) Reconstruction of the North Ruimveldt Police Station in Region Four. The contract amount is $123,800,021 and the contractor is Vishal’s Contracting.

4) Reconstruction of Mahaica Police Station in Region Four. The contract amount is $143,615,544 and the contractor is Kawal Ramdeen General Construction.

5) Reconstruction of the Beterverwagting Police Station in Region Four. The contract amount is $119,027,202 and the contractor is Alliance Construction & General Supplies.

6) Construction of a wharf and boat house at Mabaruma in Region One. The contract amount is $52,934,500 and the contractor is ProRed Resources.

7) Construction of wharf and boat house at Morawhanna in Region One. The contract amount is $59,062,850 and the contractor is also Pro Red Resources.

8) Reconstruction of Imbotero Police Station in Region One. The contract amount is $144,900,000 and the contractor is K & K Boat Building Construction & General Supplies.

9) Upgrade of a highway patrol base to a police station in Region Four. The contract amount is $121,687,160 and the contractor is Hoosein Logistics & Supplies Inc.
