Police  in public order training for world cup

Ranks of the Guyana Police Force’s Tactical Services Unit were today engaged in Public Order Drills (Level Two and Three) at the Tactical Services Unit Square.

The ranks are undergoing the tactical training in preparation for security and emergency responses for the upcoming International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Men T20 World Cup 2024, which will see some of the games being hosted in Guyana next month.

Deputy Commissioner ‘Operations’, Ravindradat Budhram and Officer-in-Charge of TSU, Superintendent Brian Lowenfield were on-hand at the TSU Drill Square this morning overseeing the specialised training, a release from the police said.
