In an expression of gratitude for their dedication on the frontline, the Regional Health Services, in collaboration with the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) of Region Two on Saturday evening hosted a dinner and appreciation ceremony in honour of Nurses and Midwives Day.
The event was held at the Anna Regina Town Hall where the concerted efforts of the healthcare heroes were lauded, and this year’s commemoration centred around the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future: The Economic Power of Care”.
The Prime Minister’s Representative and Chairman of the Health and Sanitation Committee in the Region, Arnold Adams extended gratitude to the nurses and midwives for their sterling contributions. He assured them of the unwavering support of the government and pledged to champion their interests through the Ministry of Health.
