Sixth person from Long Creek accident passes away

Aubrey Ghanie, 67, of the Soesdyke-Linden Highway   passed away yesterday morning at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) following Monday’s horrific accident at Long Creek.

He was the sixth person to have died from the accident. Ghanie was admitted to the hospital with chest and lung injuries.

Meanwhile, Dexter Grannum, the father of another injured  victim, Asher Grannum of 179 Kwakwani Park, Berbice River who is still hospitalized said yesterday that his son is recovering in the male surgical ward at the GPH and is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. He added that his son suffered from a broken jaw and bruises to his lungs.
