Osante Benjamin appeared yesterday before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with possession of ammunition.
It was alleged that on May 15, at Laing Avenue, West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, he had in his possession a .32 pistol magazine and 9mm casings without being the holder of a firearm licence.
Benjamin pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The magistrate refused bail and the accused was remanded to prison. His next scheduled court appearance is on June 28.
