Gov’t to train 3,000 in welding

-650 already registered for first phase There is a growing need for welders in the oil & gas sector and in response, government is stepping up training efforts with the aim of targeting 3,000 Guyanese, through a new programme by the School of the Nations in collaboration with the Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL).

NSC Independence 3-Stage Road Race By Michelangelo Jacobus It was a record-breaking performance from Briton John as he shattered the stage one and two records as the highly anticipated National Sports Commission’s (NSC) Independence 3-Stage cycling road race pedalled off with a feverish pace from the Corriverton Police Station in Berbice yesterday.

Defunded! NSC & GOA defund GASA over internal issues

Guyana still to sign new EU-ACP pact

More than two months after this country said it was ready to sign on to the Samoa Agreement, this still has not been done with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hugh Todd, assuring that Georgetown will be a signatory to the agreement at the next available opportunity.
