One person died last night after being hit by a motorcar on Eccles Public Road, East Bank of Demerara.
Neighbours have identified the dead man as ‘Uncle Danny’ of Agricola on the East Bank of Demerara.
According to a neighbour, Carol Nurse, the man was making his way to a shop in the area on his electric bike when the motor car hit him. He died on the spot. The driver is in police custody assisting with investigation.
